Practical information

 LOCATION

 The conference will take place on the Schuman Campus (29 avenue Schuman), in building T1 Multimédias, right at the entrance to the campus.  

The conference will take place in a roomy lecture hall equipped with a laptop and overhead projector. 

In order to avoid unnecessary technical delays at the beginning of panel sessions, we ask you to kindly bring your PowerPoint presentations on a flash drive (please check your drive for viruses in advance).

 If you are working on a Mac or a very recent version of Windows, please save your presentation in a simpler Windows format, to ensure that the document can open.

REGISTRATION FEE

There is no registration fee. Conference material will be distributed on arrival. The conference will include 1 lunch and 3 coffee breaks.

BOOK EXHIBIT

The conference will include a small book exhibit with titles relevant to the conference topic. The university library will have ordered books prior to the event. If you have titles that you would like to display at the conference, please check with us whether they have been ordered. If not, you are free to bring books, flyers, and conference announcements. Please note that books from the book exhibit will not be sold. 

CONFERENCE DINNER 

The conference dinner will take place on Friday 5 October at 8 pm at a restaurant in downtown Aix. The restaurant will be within walking distance of the city center (Cours Mirabeau). There will be a three-course menu with wine and coffee, at a cost per person of €40.

Please state your dietary restrictions in the REGISTRATION form.

HALF-DAY OUTING AT MONTAGNE SAINTE-VICTOIRE AND CHATEAU LA COSTE 

This half-day outing on Saturday 6 October (9 am - 1 pm) will include a bus trip to Vauvenargue at the foot of Montagne Sainte Victoire, and a visit of Chateau La Coste, a vineyard featuring the work of renowned artists and architects such as Tadao Ando, Louise Bourgeois, Alexander Calder, Frank O. Gehry, and Andy Goldsworthy.

The half-day tour on Saturday costs 30 euros per person.
